Established in 1994, K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly-owned company of the Sabah State Government through the Chief Minister (Incorporation) Ordinance. It is a State government link agency under the direct purview of the State Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship.
Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) was approved in 1993 as a fully integrated park. We aim to develop KKIP with sustainable social and economic developments that will significantly contribute to the progress of Sabah.

KKIP CSR Program for Flood Relief 🌊
On June 5, 2024, the Sungai Telipok Reserve, KKIP, buzzed with a spirit of conservation as 200 participants from various sectors, including industry leaders, community members, and government representatives, gathered to celebrate National Environmental Awareness Day. The event was graced by En. Murad Abdul Rashid, Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, who represented the Minister, Datuk Christina Liew. Also in attendance were Mr. Amos Thien Tze Tin, Public Relations Secretary to the Minister of Industrial Development & Entrepreneurship; Mr. Vitalis J. Moduying, Director of the Department of Environment Protection; and Mr. Lawrence G. Kimkuan, CEO of KKIP Sdn. Bhd. The event featured a student drawing competition, tree planting, and prawn fry release into the river. This year’s activities continued the commitment to the Telipok River’s environmental program, supported by multiple organizations and village chiefs from Kampung Norowot, Sukoli, and Salut.
16 November 2023 , K.K.I.P. Sdn.Bhd. organized Environmental Awareness Programme at Sungai Telipok Reserve.
K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd., together with KKIP Investors Council (KIC) joined hands to provide special assistance to the Tombonuo community living in Kg Gambir, Pitas. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort initiated by KIC has delivered about RM10,000 worth of groceries to the targeted B40 Community in Pitas.
As part of KKIP Sdn. Bhd. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and commitment in helping the communities nearby, we met with the Headmaster from SK Lapasan, Mr Alhazmi bin Abddullah joined by Mr Dalsah bin Darwis, the school's PIBG Vice President, to present umbrellas for the school. Through this effort, we hope the students and teachers will benefit from the umbrellas during this rainy season. KKIP is actively listening to requests from nearby communities and looking at ways to assist and elevate their well-being.
The Mangrove Tree Planting Program in conjunction with World Wetlands Day 2023 was held on 16 March 2023 at V19 Phase 1 KKIP, organized by KKIP SABAH in collaboration with the Jabatan Perlindungan Alam Sekitar Sabah, Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, and Sabah Credit Corporation. This program is one of KKIP's efforts in preserving and rehabilitating the mangrove areas and is in line with the Malaysian Tree Planting Program, targeting to plant 100 million trees by 2025. Approximately 50 participants consisting of K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. Employees, Environment Protection Department, Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, representatives of KKIP Investor Council, Village Head, and JPKK V19, KKIP. This program successfully planted 200 mangrove seedlings.
We handed over the completed works for the Improvement of Water Reticulation System at SK Lapasan to the school headmaster, En Alhazmi Abdullah. For a long period, the school had difficulties getting water supply direct from the pipeline since it is located on higher ground. The improved water reticulation system, will enable better flow of water supply, benefiting 230 students and teachers.
We're excited to share the success of our recent charity drive for V12 community, organized by K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. We have distributed food baskets to the less fortunate and also distributed generous donations of rice bags from Hyundai Engineering & Construction. The handing over of contributions was done by our Group Senior Vice President, Madam Cecilia Amid. Together, we make an impact.
