Located north of Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) is a state government project designated as the state's nucleus of growth. Its purpose is to facilitate economic development and optimum utilisation of the state's natural resources.
Occupying an area of 8,320 acres, the park falls within the Knowledge Corridor of Sabah, where the highly advanced Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a host of training and research institutions are located.
KKIP was conceived and designed to be a modern, integrated mixed development that offers a comprehensive mix of investment, education, commerce, leisure and residential opportunities. With a master plan firmly grounded on environmentally sustainable development principles, and ISO 9001-2008 certification, KKIP provides solid investment opportunities and an idyllic living and working environment. Moreover, with its reliable infrastructure, desirable location and sound logistics, KKIP is poised to catalyse growth for the state and investors in BIMP-EAGA and beyond.
The relationships we build with our individual and corporate partners are crucial in advancing our mission to plan and provide the primary and higher-order conditions for economic development. Moreover, as KKIP is conceived as a catalyst to spur industrialisation in Sabah, the company offers a host of benefits for investors:-
KKIP offers political and social stability with the full support of the Federal and State governments. It also provides a ready availability of workforce and abundant natural resources. A pioneer in its field, KKIP upholds the international standard of quality of life and work environment in its grasp.
There are currently 22 Research & Development (R&D) and training institutions established within the industrial park. This facilitates product improvement and provides a pool of competent, proficient human resources.
A One Stop Centre is established as a gateway for relevant transaction processes and Trade and Investment advisory and consultancy services.
